Throughout my school days, I was always doodling the most random designs, filling my books with something that truly interested me. If I ran out of paper, my pen sketches would spread up my hands and arms — I was definitely destined to be a tattoo artist!

I took a slight detour during a phase where I fell in love with graffiti: the colour, scale and variety of street art styles really captured my attention. I swapped pens for spray paint, and my final Art GCSE piece became a mash-up of different graffiti styles, for which I achieved a grade 7.

 

With both graffiti and tattooing sharing a connection to permanent designs beyond paper, when I was given the opportunity to complete my school work experience at Interstellar, I knew it was a massive opportunity. I am truly grateful that I was trusted with my talent and allowed to tattoo on fake skin after just one week.

 

Since then, I have fully committed my time to developing my style and techniques, continually building my portfolio. The style I now enjoy most is realism with a dark twist.

 

Becoming a full-time member of the Interstellar Ink team is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I know I have been given the chance to express myself as an artist through a medium that I really, really enjoy.

 

Music plays a huge part in my life — my headphones are always on, playing the different genres of metal that I love. No matter what I’m doing in my spare time, whether it’s remodelling masks, creating large calligraphy artworks, or walking my dog, music is always playing in the background.
